Lexar Enterprise Unveils 0.6mm ePOP4x

Lexar Enterprise continues to pioneer innovative storage solutions for wearable devices.

San Jose, CA, USA, March 5, 2025— Lexar Enterprise, a division of Lexar Americas, has unveiled the latest advancement in wearable storage, the ultra-thin 0.6mm (max) ePOP4x, enabling more streamlined options for efficient device layout. This latest release from Lexar Enterprise continues the proud tradition of groundbreaking innovations for AI-powered wearable devices.

With a maximum thickness of just 0.6mm, the Lexar Enterprise ePOP4x is nearly 25% thinner than its predecessor (0.8mm), making it one of the slimmest ePOP products available on the market. The ePOP4x integrates eMMC and LPDDR4x into a single package, offering mainstream capacities of 32GB+16Gb and 64GB+16Gb and supporting frequencies up to 2133MHz or 4267 Mbps.

This flash + dynamic access memory (DRAM) combo, paired with a high-performance controller supporting low-density parity-check (LDPC) error correction, meets the diverse storage and memory demands of wearable devices. A package on package (PoP) design allows the chip to be directly mounted onto the system-on-a-chip (SoC), reducing the printed circuit board (PCB) footprint to deliver an efficient embedded storage solution for wearable devices.

Powered by in-house firmware, the Lexar Enterprise ePOP4x offers fast boot times, ultra-low power consumption, and optimized SoC compatibility for enhanced performance and battery life. The ePOP4x also offers customizable versions tailored to specific customer requirements to ensure greater flexibility and precise storage solutions for any application.
